Recovery of marine and river sediments intoartificial aggregates and AI solution to manage the variability of inputs

The GRANUL'IA project aims to experiment and evaluate the potential for recovering non-inert - non-hazardous marine and river sediments in the aggregates sector and to optimize manufacturing methods, according to the characteristics of the sediments, thanks to the use of Artificial Intelligence algorithms.
Experts from Ixsane's innovation hub will develop algorithms using AI to adjust formulations to input variations and control the performance of synthetic aggregates despite input variability. Carried out in collaboration with IMT Nord Europe, this work will follow the SEDIMATERIALS approach. They will integrate data from laboratory experiments and 1:1 scale demonstrations.
At the same time, Ixsane will study the conditions for the industrial implementation of this solution for the development of a new sediment recovery sector in the Hauts-de-France.
